iMONITRAF! Annual Report 2022
After the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, traffic volumes are back to 2019 levels, and with them the pressure to develop effective and common solutions to provide stronger incentives for modal shift and to ensure that the Alpine regions can become a model for decarbonising road freight transport. Throughout 2022, the iMONITRAF! network has used its expertise to support a more ambitious implementation of policies and to ensure that Alpine needs are taken into account in the revision process of the TEN-T Regulation, as an important interface with EU decision-making and the Simplon Alliance. In addition, the new set of target indicators provides a new tool for assessing progress towards relevant transport-related objectives.
More information on this new set of target indicators and on the other extensive networking activities at EU and national level is summarised in the Annual Report 2022. It also provides an overview of recent good practices in freight and passenger transport, relevant transport and environmental indicators and sets the agenda for further discussions.
