Dear Madam, dear Sir,
The need for action remains high for the Alpine transit corridors. In 2023, the total number of vehicles crossing the seven major Alpine road transit corridors exceeded the pre-pandemic level of 2019 by 5%. Increasing transport volumes put pressures not only on road infrastructures but also on rail capacity, requiring even stronger efforts of iMONITRAF! to work towards a coordinated transport policy. Also with a view to the European level, the common voice of iMONITRAF! is needed to raise Alpine claims in going discussions, especially the Combined Transport Directive.
More information on iMONITRAF proposals for a strengthened modal shift framework and on related networking activities at EU and national level are summarized in the Annual Report 2024. It also gives a detailed overview on relevant transport and environmental indicators as collected and interpreted in the frame of the common monitoring system as well as an overview on recent Best Practices. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren
der Handlungsbedarf für die Alpentransitkorridore bleibt weiterhin hoch. Im Jahr 2023 lag das Verkehrsvolumen auf den sieben wichtigsten Straßentransitkorridore der Alpen 5% über dem Niveau von 2019, dem letzten Jahr vor der COVID-Pandemie. Das steigende Verkehrsaufkommen setzt nicht nur die Straßeninfrastrukturen unter Druck, sondern auch die Kapazitätsplanung auf der Schiene. Dies erfordert noch stärkere Anstrengungen von iMONITRAF! für eine koordinierte Verkehrspolitik. Auch im Hinblick auf die Rahmenbedingungen auf europäischer Ebene wird die gemeinsame Stimme von iMONITRAF! benötigt, um die Forderungen der Alpen in den laufenden Diskussionen, insbesondere der Richtlinie über den kombinierten Verkehr, sichtbar zu machen.
Weitere Informationen zu den iMONITRAF-Vorschlägen für verbesserte Rahmenbedingungen für die Verkehrsverlagerung und zu den damit verbundenen Netzwerkaktivitäten auf EU- und nationaler Ebene sind im Jahresbericht 2024 zusammengefasst. La nécessité d’agir demeure importante pour les corridors de transit Alpins. En 2023, le nombre total de véhicules traversant les sept principaux corridors routiers alpins a dépassé de 5 % le niveau prépandémie de 2019. L’augmentation des volumes de transport exerce des pressions non seulement sur les infrastructures routières, mais aussi sur la capacité ferroviaire, nécessitant des efforts renforcés de la part d’iMONITRAF! afin de promouvoir une politique de transport combiné coordonnée. De plus, au niveau européen, il est crucial que la voix commune d’iMONITRAF! soit entendue pour faire valoir les revendications alpines dans les discussions en cours, en particulier concernant la révision de la Directive sur le Transport Combiné.
Des informations détaillées sur les propositions d’iMONITRAF! afin de renforcer le cadre du report modal, ainsi que sur les activités de mise en réseau au niveau national et européen, sont résumées dans le Rapport Annuel 2024. Ce rapport offre également un aperçu détaillé des indicateurs de transport et environnementaux collectés et analysés dans le cadre du système de suivi commun, ainsi qu’un état des lieux des bonnes pratiques récentes. Nel 2023, il numero totale di veicoli che hanno attraversato i sette principali corridoi stradali di transito alpino ha superato del 5% i livelli pre-pandemia del 2019. L'aumento dei volumi di trasporto esercita pressioni non solo sulle infrastrutture stradali, ma anche sulla capacità ferroviaria, richiedendo un impegno ancora maggiore da parte di iMONITRAF! per promuovere una politica coordinata dei trasporti. Anche a livello europeo, la voce comune di iMONITRAF! è essenziale per portare avanti le istanze alpine nelle discussioni in corso, in particolare relativamente alla direttiva sui trasporti combinati.
